Saturday 30th January 2010
Well 2 Home games later and only 1 point gained!!
More to the point though is the players complete lack of credability to beat teams in the bottom half of League 1! And if it was down to those teams coming to the Valley and playing their hearts out it would be different but its really down to us! We have started playing mediocre (and in some cases poor) football! My suggestion for the away game in Walsall next Tuesday would be change the personell and in particular start with Omusuzi Wagstaff Reid Racon McKenzie and Dickson because Richardson Sam Shelvey Burton and Mooney are underachieving at the moment and its almost like its all being left to Nicky Bailey to shoulder responsability and I think he needs a rest! We have to pick up wins now as Leeds and Norwich are pulling away and about 4 teams are chasing us now with too few points between us and them!! Looks like the play-off are looming!!
Thursday 22nd January 2010
2010 and 6 points from 6! Stats 11 unbeaten and still unbeaten at home since 21st March 2009 thats 19 games!! This time we were not as good as we should have been but winning when you play poorly is the right mix for promotion so could this be the moment we march on! Now on level points with Norwich and only 3 points behind Leeds! We have worse goal difference so we need to bang a few in over the next few games! By Monday, if we win, we could be level points with Leeds! They have played less games but it could be interesting!!
Sunday 3rd January 2010
New Years Resolution.... Bringing Home The Racon!!
Lets not let Therry Racon leave without a protest! He has been bench warming for several games now prior to the January Window opening and now it is lets all learn the lessons from our past! Danny Murphy Andy Reid and Scott Parker were just a few of the clever players we let slip out of our Grasp and as soon as they left we took a downward spiral into mediocraty! If you believe that Racon should stay let the CAFC world know by email twitter and facebook protests! Lets keep Racon at the Valley!
Saturday 2nd January 2010
Mixed Emotions about 2010 start! Our Game v Wallsall is postponed after 3 very hard fought draws that kept us in 2nd spot until Norwich won while we sat it out! Now we are 3rd on goal difference! It doesnt matter though unless we are either 1st or 2nd come May 8th! Dont forget we are unbeaten in 9 games till today and have 4 winnable games ahead in January so lets march on! C'mon you Reds! (CYOR)
Sunday 8th November
Seems like the news justs keeps getting worse! 86 places below Addicks in League contention and Northwich Victoria skittle us out of the FA Cup in the first round! How embarrasing!! They were the better team on the day but I have to say where were we? Call it complacent....call it bad luck.....or maybe just poor play? Truth is we only really had a few players that wanted it today....Dailly Sodje and Randolph! Any of the rest could have stayed on the bus and we wouldnt have even noticed!
Phil, can we have Deon and Leon up front on Wednesday against Southampton please? And maybe a cup match win just for a change?
Saturday 31st October
Well Haloween certainly put the frighterners on us as we slip to defeat by Carlisle! Hardly form team of League One! The devil is in the detail! We were not at the races and I think we lack Shelvey on the pitch from the start to drive us on! We have slumped in the League to just 6 points from 5 games! If they were all converted we would be on 38 points and Leeds behind us on 36 points! There is now a 7 point gap between us in second thanks to our bitter rivals Millwall crashing in a late winner against Colchester! I am beginning to think the 4-5-1 formation with Shelvey in the team is our best way forward! Is anyone listening?
Saturday 24th October
Just like Deon Burton has got bogged down on 99 career goals so the Addicks get bogged down also! We didn't perform to our strengths today even playing 4-4-2! I expect Parky will consider returning to the 4-5-1 formation next time out at Carlisle I'm sure to try to rekindle our winning ways! I wait to see! We did miss a big chance to put pressure on Leeds who play on Monday against Bristol Rovers and after they lost today against Millwall it could be a double whamey for them! Instead they are likely to put a 4 point gap between us and the chasing pack which as we are not winning are getting to close for comfort! Lets get back to winning ways very soon eh!
Saturday 17th October
Better performance against Huddersfield today but what a difference when Semedo and Racon are playing in the middle as was the case in the sedond half! It was Burton' 500th game and Sam's 100th game for Addicks and with Deon on 99 professional goals it was a shame he didn't score and Lloydy wasn't his usual self but it was a great game even if a little nervy in the final minutes, but we made it to leapfrog Leeds! Well until Monday at least eh!
Saturday 10th October
Saturday's fare was spoilt by an Oldham side intent on going home with a point and a referee that would find it hard to convince fans that he was even on the pitch watching the match let alone officiating over it! All that aside we looked tired and sometimes devoid of any ideas to break the deadlock! Still it was great news to get Peter Varney back in the Addicks boardroom! Now all we need is run of winning say 4 or 5 games to put pressure on Leeds!
Tuesday 7th October
Last night was a change from the usual fare! A cup match where we stamped our mark on the tie! I'm glad I went (along with the Lucky Shirt) to watch as despite the weather it was £5 well spent (and the Valley Review was only £1) as we did the job on Barnet 4-1 and it could have been more as our general all round play idicates we are top of our form at the moment! Let's hope it continues until at least May 2010!
Saturday 3rd October
Two more matches played and contrasting results and performances! Against Colchester we were second to the ball and despite a better performance in the second half realistically the damage was done at the 30 minute mark when Llera scored in his own net and then we let them score a quick second goal! I think it was perhaps also due to tiredness after the Saturday game against Exeter! The Leeds performance was gigantic in contrast and although the result was a draw it was statiscally better by the Addicks with more possesion and more chances on target! A draw was perhaps a deserved result but both Leeds or Charlton could have nicked it! I hope the reverse match at the Valley will prove Leeds undoing but we have to wait for that!
Meantime we have an opportunity here to put pressure on Leeds as we have two home games against Oldham and Huddersfield before Leeds play again! Six points would mean they have to play catchup! Lets do the deed Addicks!
Saturday 26th September
We were lucky today! Although we were much the better side with better chances and much better desire we flagged in the second half and towards the end quite a few players looked tired! Not a good omen for the next two games both away and both against difficult opposition, Colchester and Leeds! I am looking on the bright side however as if we win both games its the beginning of October! We will be on 29 points and top of League One!
Friday 25th September
On the eve of the Exeter match at the Valley we are still unbeaten but now second to also unbeaten Leeds in the Table! Tomorrow may be a day of revelations as the truth starts to come out about the possible takeover and at last some investment in the club we all love! Seven Million Pounds and perhaps things might be more comfortable from now on!
Friday 18th September
I have taken a long time to update the site since last Saturday as I find it hard to put into words how sensless some fans can be! Whilst I wouldnt expect Alan Pardew to be returning as a fallen hero his tenure at the Valley was not as bad as other recent managers of the club so to be honest the booing but also the abusive chants before the match has even started are frankly not wanted at football matches! And didnt it come back to bite us as they (Southampton) bossed the first half and went in one up! Even despite an exceptional rally by the Addicks it ended 1-1 and didnt Mr Pardew go home happy! So the fans shot themselves in the foot!! Learn from it!!
Positive note though we are still top of table and still unbeaten! Tomorrows game at Norwich will be very difficult but the lucky shirt will be on for the whole match from about 2.30 although I will not be amongst the nearly 2000 Addicks fans at Carrow Road sadly! My predicition is we get back to winning ways but by the smallest margin 1-0 to the Addicks and focus on ending September on 28 points and not 30 as I predicted last time out! Enjoy the game C'mon you Reds
Saturday 5th September
Now this extended record run of 100% results is not just good for the club and supporters but also the team! I watched from the West Stand with several friends some of which were Brentford Supporters and we all agree that ,yet again, the Charlton performance was outstanding! For those of you that were either in the Valley or watching on Sky Sports you would have seen two teams committed to playing football rather than route one or stop the opposition by any method to get a result! Today was a flowing game of football which was played with skill and style and I have to say 15 passes that led to Lloyd Sam's goal showing that if you play football the right way you will entertain and prosper! Lloyd was deserved man of the match, Parkinson should be manager of the month for September if this keeps up and we have a new champion to replace Chrissy Powell in the post match celebration stakes as Rob Elliot takes on the mantle!
Mark my prophecy that it might be 10 from 10 by the end of September and 30 points!
Next up a certain Alan Pardew returns to the Valley with Southampton! Cant wait!
I also make the point the Lucky Shirt is still Lucky but its just a talisman to cling to! When we finally drop any points it will be just another day! Fortune favours our rejuvinated team! Life is good!
Saturday 29th August
So it's 5 wins on the bounce in League One and in fairness we should be congratulating the Team on a 100% League record of 6 matches since we beat Norwich for the last match in the Championship! My Lucky Shirt is still working and I hope it goes on for a very long time to come! My prophecy of unbeaten in August has now come true so lets look to the future and start plotting a 100% record to go to the end of September! I would say don't doubt that could happen as we look forward to playing Brentford, Southampton,Norwich, Exeter and Colchester! If you think I am out of my tree feel free to criticise on October 3rd when we face Leeds and who knows by then we could be top of the League with 30 points! I'm not dreaming! I am recognising a new Charlton that looks like going all the way to the top and certainly back where they belong! Has anyone else noticed that we are getting the ball down and playing some lovely football! Although the majority of the players from last season are still playing for us it really is a totally different and better team! Well done Phil Parkinson!
Friday 28th August
All up for Grabs as the Five in a Row start to the season nears its climax! The Official CAFC site is playing up how very confident and up for this match the Team is! My only hope is we haven't peaked too soon! Only Joking! It's so very nice to be talking about the Addicks accomplishments rather than their shortcomings! All I can say is if they need any help at all My Lucky KRBS shirt will be put on about 2.30 pm tomorrow and lets hope the Luck isn't wearing out!! Whatever happens we are all with you! C'mon you Reds....
Sunday 23rd August
Well....what can you say? 4 Games and 100% record and top of the League!! I bought the new KRBS.com shirt when it was first on sale on the evening of the Home friendly against Ipswich! I have worn it on every occassion we played except for the Carling Cup match against Hereford and we have won each match! Coincidence? Well I'm a supersticious fotball fan and I will keep wearing my lucky shirt in the hope it is just that! I text a Addicks fan friend of mine from the Leyton Orient game and observed it would be lovely to have a 100% record throughout August and we are on the brink of that! Tranmere away next and lets hope the Lucky Shirt holds good! Find out on my Twitter address www.twitter.com/RonnytheT....
Wednesday 19th August
What a difference a few days can make after a poor cup result against Hereford its back to the League and excellent wins against Hartlepool and Leyton Orient and both away from home! Stats dictate that we haven't been this good for many years! 100% record which is only the fourth remaining in the whole of the League! How cool is that! I was at Leyton Orient where the Addicks fans took up half the stadium and were in high spirits and good voice all night long! Its a great time to be an Addick and lets hope the takeover is sorted out very soon and we can get sorted for the onslaught on getting back to the Championship for next season!
Monday 10th August
Good start lets hope it keeps up that way! Big price to pay with five players out with injuries prior to our Carling Cup match tomorrow at Hereford! Keep your fingers crossed!
Season 2009/2010
Summer Recess!!
Wednesday 29th July 2009
So Far so good-- Pre-Season Friendly Matches are unbeaton for the Senior side and a lovely win over Ipswich Town yesterday show we have possibly got what it takes!
Parky still wants more players but as usual the Financial situation is unclear as we are immenent take over candidates and lets hope the rumours are true that Peter Varney is involved along with Alan Curbishley- we deserve some good luck this season eh?
Season 2008/2009
Wednesday 22nd April 2009
So we get relegated which if we are all honest was exactly what we deserve for a terrible season in the Championship! I would love to know after watching us score twice in the last two games at the Valley the last one against Cardiff with only 10 minutes left we still only draw (it could have been worse we could have lost) but we have been in this position so many times this season and only once (against Reading) did we actually fight back and win! Usually its a draw or on quite a few occasions we lose!! How do they do it I would love to know! I would also love to know how some fans in the North Stand think we should go on by sacking Parkinson! These are the same fans that shouted Pardew out and he went and we were left with Parky! Lets be fair we have had five Managers in just two seasons and gone from Premiership to League One whist amassing about £20 million debt! What do you think the next move will be?

Friday 17th April 2009
Tomorrow the 18th April might be the day our fate is decided but wouldn't it be so good if that luck that has evaded us for so long gave all the 4 teams above us a bad time where they all lose and we win! Keep the faith!!
RonnyT 16/04/09 22.30
Tuesday 14th April 2009
Now it is miracle needed as only 12 points available and only Notts Forest, Norwich and Barnsley within range but only if they lose all their remaining fixtures!! Some chance I'm sure but at least we are going out fighting and lets hope for goals and Valley win on Saturday against Blackpool! Be there for some thrills!

Sunday 12th April 2009
I am so glad that finally the team have shown their capabilities which may be too late to save us from relegation but may in some way silence some of the critics of the past few months! I was so pleased to see Birmingham manager Alex (Big Head) McLeish eat some humble pie despite his feelings that Birmingham had come to the Valley to win by 5 -0 it is refreshing that his team were shown how football matches need to be won on the pitch and not in some egotistical way by an overated team and manager! In truth the officials spoilt the afternoon for everyone as the only time the ball was put in the net by Charlton was actually a good goal and maybe all officials need to take stock of what actually happens on the pitch rather than pandering to the so called "big name" teams! I just pray that Birmingham dont make promotion after the disengenuous post match comments by their manager! However this now leaves us in a very precarious place as if both Notts Forest and Barnsley win tomorrow (Bank Holiday Monday) or we lose at Coventry its then mathematically almost impossible for us to stay in the Championship! Lets keep praying for a minor miracle!
On a more interesting note my comments over the last few months about the Board's role in our current predicament may not be p*#*ing in the wind if the rumours about a possible Peter Varney co-operative takeover of the club are true then it can only be good for the club! Peter Varney left the club for personal reasons shortly after Alan Curbishley resigned in April 2006! Both those men had a big part to play in the success of Charlton and may do again if the rumours are true! Lets get motivated and support the club if relegated to do the unthinkable and get promoted back into the Championship next season and the Premiership the following season after that!! C'mon you Reds

Thursday 9th April 2009
Well we have only played three games in almost a month but what a story its been! On the field it been one of each win-lose-draw! Off the field its been very unsettling! So we are in debt (massively) have to pull our horns in, sadly this means redundancies for some and restructuring the business! Whilst the season tickets will be about £50 cheaper next season it will not stop me from paying out again irrespective of which League we are playing in! However if you want to be positive(and I do) we could manage the most amazing Great Escape still! It is very much in the lap of the Gods so to speak as here is how it stands before we play Birmingham on Saturday.......................
If (a big IF admitted) we win our last six games we end the season on fifty points so as it stands now the following clubs might not achieve that number only if they do not win any of their remaining!! But here are the crucial statistics Derby six to play 48 points.....Blackpool five to play 47 points.....Plymouth 5 to play 46 points......Doncaster six to play 46 points.....Barnsley six to play 45 points.....Norwich five to play 43 points.....Notts Forest five to play 42 points......Southampton five to play 41 points! We have to play Derby, Blackpool and last of the season Norwich! If you examine our form over the past two months and any of those teams match our performance of old it could be very tight indeed! Some might say I'm wishing big time but the first of our Championship Cup Finals is just two days away and we need results to go our way! Best keep all the fingers crossed and rub those lucky rabbits feet eh?

Friday 13th March 2009
Thank goodness we are not playing today! Our midweek performance can only be labelled as unlucky after taking the lead against Reading the referee gives a dodgy penalty to the home side and they level the score then we go down the other end and he ignores a blatant penalty decision in our favour! You could almost guess how it would turn out from there as Charlton pressed to take the lead again only to go behind again from poor defending from a corner! Thank the stars for a never give up attitude as Captain Hudson equalises with just 5 minutes to go! I have to be realistic that although there are still 9 games left we really should prepare ourselves but I'm glad the team still dont give up! Lets hope its all a bad dream and Wolves fail to turn up on Saturday! Three points could really go down well at the moment!
RonnyT 13/03/09 23.00
Sunday 8th March 2009
If losing at home on Tuesday wasn't bad enough we (AGAIN) turn a winning position into a losing result! Its now just 30 points to play for and in all seriousness the last two games were supposed to be must win matches to stand a chance of avoiding relegation as now we are faced with very difficult matches against Reading (chasing automatic promotion) then Wolves (currently top of the Championship) both matches away! Then we welcome Preston NE to the Valley (seeking play-off place)! Its not rocket science to assume that if we cannot gain any points from two teams struggling at the bottom we have very little chance of any return from three of the teams seeking promotion
So if thats the case we currently are 12 points off safety and if that becomes any worse by the end of March we may only have a possible 21 points to make it right! It doesn't look good for football matters but my real concerns are the direction the club is going in! Jonjo Shelvey was arguably the best player on the pitch just after signing a professional contract against Doncaster Rovers! Where was he against Watford? And Zheng Zhi played for the first time since early last year but will he play again? If we are so very much in debt and close to administration guess what valuable assets would be required IF we do get relegated? Whats the betting that we wont see either Jonjo or ZZ featuring over the next few weeks as the management prepare for life in League One! Best we all be prepared eh?
RonnyT 08/03/09 20.45
Wednesday 4th March 2009
Well last night might be the moment most significant to staying in the Championship! The Addicks lost the game not just because we defended the two goals badly but also because we had many half chances in the first half and made individual poor decisions in front of goal, and we just did not apply ourselves to beating a team (Doncaster Rovers) who had a plan, a way of playing and they stuck to it! How we think we will now get out of this mess is beyond me! The Stats are bottom of Championship with fewest wins of any team, the worst goal difference and now a massive 12 points from the team just oustside the relegation zone! On 27 points the recognised total for staying in the Championship is around 52 means to achieve 25 points with just 11 games to play which in stark reality means have to win either 7 or 8 games and draw some but in reality lose no more than 2 or 3 games so it could be all over by the Preston Home game if we dont get motivated! Its just too horrible to contemplate!
RonnyT 04/03/09 16.45
Saturday 28th February 2009
1 point down and another possible 36 to go and that unbeaten run stretches to 3 games! It might sound like small beer but when you have already had a winless run of 19 games you have to take the positives and those positives are since the Palace match we have won 2 Lost 2 and Drawn 2! The difference in the last three games has to be solid defending now we have two centre halves that can defend well and there is definate confidence and desire in the team performances not to give it up.....in fact we were very unlucky not to take all three points with Nicky Bailey hitting the bar and the Swansea goalie pulling off three saves in the latter stages of the game! It's home to Doncaster on Tuesday evening who are also flying high with a run of good results but although it would be difficult IF we win and results around us go better than today it will get tighter at the bottom! Over the next two weeks we play Doncaster and Watford at home then Reading and Wolves away which could be 12 points and unbeaten in 6! There will be those only expecting 6 or less points I'm sure but lets be very hopeful and perhaps trust the teams confident and spirited approach to getting out of the bottom three! Strange to think this might be a season working the reverse way round to previous seasons where the best results are at the finish! Lets hope so eh?
RonnyT 28/02/09 21.15
Sunday 22nd February 2009
Dare we hope that we can put an unbeaten run together and rescue the season? A solid workmanlike performance gaining what might be a valuable point! There are a possible 39 points left to play for and it might only need 21 of those to secure a place in the championship for next season! Next up is Swansea away and the dream of getting a point there with Doncaster and Watford at home dare we believe a total of 7 points which could at least get us off the bottom of the pile! And has anyone noticed that Norwich are dropping like a stone and that is the last match of the season for us!! Whats the betting it could be a decider of who goes and who stays in the Championship?

YES!YES!YES At last a performance and result to be thouroughly proud of! We were the better team and had all the best chances and by far and away one of the best goals of the season when Therry Racon (Genius) opened the scoring and if there was a critisism it would be why was Kelly Youga so lukewarm this time out and why this didnt happen way back in December! Im sure all the fans are proud of what happened yesterday and lets pray its the start of a winning run and get ourselves out of the relegation fight we should never have allowed ourselves to get into!!

Seems like winning positions only to lose because of second half performances is now the order of the day! Thank goodness for the Snow and cancellation of the Cardiff Match which gives time to regroup and lets hope back to basics and a win against Plymouth next Saturday! I will be there and lets hope its good news and 3 points! Not much to ask for is it?

So unlucky in the Burnley game to be winning for so much of the match but more important were not losing until very deep into injury time! But the team played well considering it was a makeshift defence with Ward coming in at the last minute it makes you wonder when he gets together with Mark Hudson if we become more stable at the back! Lets hope so and hopefully we can make it a good result at home against Cardiff City next weekend! At least its looking more positive but we need at least 3 quick wins to start a comeback against Cardiff City,Bristol City and Plymouth Argyle so lets keep fingers crossed eh!

Well as January comes to a close it's time to bask in the glory of our first win since the 4th October 2009! Full marks for a game which was win ugly! It was far from pretty but full of spirit and fight and maybe hope! One nil against our greatest rivals is a good start but it's only a start so C'MON YOU REDS! Win against Burnley tomorrow!

Well Sheffield is definately off my journey itinery from now on but despite losing it was encouraging to see some fight and spirit! Will it be enough? We will see on Tuesday as the BIG DERBY against Crystal Palace comes around again and perhaps this time its really going to matter if we win! An old cliche perhaps but maybe the kickstart to our survival in the Championship and ... well who knows! Tuesday might be the most important match in our whole season!
RonnyT 26/01/09 8.35 pm
Sunday 18th January 2009
Another encouraging result in the FA Cup only to be humiated in the League by losing due to poor defensive play (again) and lack of ability to score! I have already blamed the Board for the situation we are in but is it more deep rooted? We have not had more than 6 defenders in our squad for about a year now and what is the obsession with bringing in strikers when they cannot score and we keep letting our midfield play makers leave the club! This has been the quality of our decline since our last season in the Premiership! That was just the season before last and we are only heading one way and that is down! Can somebody do something POSITIVE and get the team sorted out with a defense that does not leak goals and get some quality forward options to enable someone to score goals! If you want the statistics our next 5 matches are against Crystal Palace, Burnley, Bristol City, Cardiff City and Plymouth Argyle! Our previous outings against them has netted just 2 points and if thats all we get second time out we will have 21 points with just 14 games to go and safety around the 50 point mark that would mean at least 10 wins from those 14! Its grim reading and if the changes dont happen very soon and we get some real points for winning it could all be over by the end of February! The dedicated fans like me will be there every step of the way just wishing for a turn around since if we do get relegated commercially the club will be in very dire straits! We posted an 8.5 million pound net operating loss this financial year and relegation will only make that a whole lot worse! Be prepared for the bad stuff but live in hope for a saviour! My money is on Andy Gray if it happens, he owes us that!

Saturday 3rd January 2009
Well 2009 starts with creating a brand new record of 17 games without a win! This doesn't bode well for the rest of the season as we have now failed to win a match since the beginning of October! But what disturbs me most is I was at the Valley today and watched a first half display where we should have scored at least 3 goals and be in the 4th round proper without having to play a replay! But I think all the fans (me included) were at a loss when in the second half with the score at 1-1 with 15 minutes to go the only recognised Charlton Striker Deon Burton was replaced by Kelly Youga! A Full Back? Rather than playing for a replay we should have gone gung ho for a result even if we lost it would me one less game where to be frank we need to concentrate on staying in the Championship! Are the fans the only ones aware of our position (see comment of 28/12/08)! Lets really start the Great Escape eh Team?

Wednesday 31st December 2008 New Years Eve
The news is hopefully good for 2009 as Phil Parkinson is named as First Team Manager and that perhaps some fresh blood will come in during the January Window! Too little too late? It remains to be seen! North Stand waits for hopefully the first win of 2009 on Saturday in the FA Cup against Norwich City! A cup run would seem odd right now but if it oes in tandem with a run of wins in the Championship then more power to Parky! C'mon you Reds!

Sunday 28th December 2008
So 2008 comes to an end and in keeping with countless other Addicks Fans who would have forseen this earlier this Summer? The Stats do not make good reading as we are Bottom club with just 19 points! I desperately want to be positive but the stark reality is that with just 20 games left to stay in the Championship if last season is anything to go by Coventry City scrapped by with 53 points! To achieve that total the maths are to win 12 of those 20 games or at worst we could lose up to 5 of those games providing we draw 6 and win the other 9!! That really is a big ask and I have to ask are the present side up to that sort of challenge? We should know by the end of February how its likely to pan out! Still there is always the FA Cup! Happy New Year anyone?
RonnyT 8.50 pm 28/12/08
Boxing Day 26th December 2008
Well thank goodness that 2008 is nearly over for Charlton! We have conspired as a team to win just four matches and draw just seven from twenty five attempts to stay in the Championship and are bottom of the Championship! This is exactly why the owners and management have to take responsability! Once a fan always a fan but I just dont know why!!
RonnyT 8.10 pm 26/12/08

I have kept very quiet since we lost to Sheffield United by 5-2 at home and then conspired to lose the manager later last night! You cant blame the players when most of the experienced players are sold on and only the youngsters and loanees are available! You cant blame the manager for things going bad when he has little to work with! But you can blame the Owners and the Board for not getting the money available to finance a promotion push! Be prepared for the most unthinkable---relgation to League One!

At last something to look on as positve with a stirring second half performance against Burnley and then coming from behind at Ipswich to achieve back to back 1-1 draws! Didn't win but more important didn't LOSE!
Bring on Barnsley for Ist November at the Valley New month start with winning ways! Lets keep the faith and NOT GIVE IN!

Well its been crazy so far as we look some times like we could rip teams apart then we defend worse than most pub teams!
And so far I have seen 8 of the 14 Matches we have played in League and Cup and I have seen us win lose and draw but the comment must be made that we are not the team we were before and not in a good way!
Life in the Championship for the second succesive season is bringing home the reality of life below the top league, The Premiership!
Like it or not we are goverened by financial matters more than football ones! Alan Pardew presides over a team now which effectively only has four or five squad players that are capable of playing at the highest level and only a few others capable but on loan from other clubs!
I would comment that the best way we can get out of this league is to put our trust in Alan Pardew Phil Parkinson and Mark Kinsella to drive the players forward and create a team spirit which is sadly lacking at the moment of "never say die" and "believe in yourselves"!
I'm with the management team so "Don't Panic" and replace that non winning streak with the words before and during every single one of the ninety minutes encounters until the end of the season......................
"NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER SURRENDER"
